The Potato Industry Leadership Institute brings together outstanding potato growers and industry representatives for eight days of training and professional development. The annual program is held in February with activities in a potato growing region and Washington, D.C.
Participants will receive an overview of the local and national potato industry, including some of the challenges and issues beyond the production sector along with tours of local agricultural businesses.
Applications for the 2023 Potato Industry Leadership Institute will be available in August 2022.

The Potato Leadership, Education and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) will award a $10,000 academic scholarship to one graduate-level student conducting research for the benefit of the potato industry. The winner is selected based on a number of criteria, including academic achievement, leadership abilities, potato-related areas of graduate study, benefit to the U.S. potato industry/commercial value, extracurricular activities, and grades.

The Leadership Institute Alumni Summit will bring together Institute graduates to network, refresh skills, and learn new techniques to better position themselves for success in the potato industry.
All past graduates of the Leadership Institute are invited to participate in the one-day workshop that will be active, engaging, fast-paced, high energy and packed with tips to put to use immediately.
